CPS Technician Training Offered

Safe Kids Clark County is offering the National Standardized Child Passenger Safety Technician Training class in July and September. Class dates are July 16-18 and Sept. 12-15. Times are generally 8a-5:30p (exception is July 18: 8a-8:30p) with a car seat checkup event on the final day at the end of class. 8 Hour Training

Safe Kids Clark County will be offering an 8 hour car seat installation class on July 28 beginning at 8a. This class does not certify participants as child passenger safety technicians, but allows them to participate in installations at our car seat checkup events. Call 731-8666 to reserve a seat.
Britax Regent Consumer Advisory

Britax has issued a consumer advisory for all Regents manufactured between November 10, 2005 and June 18, 2007. Model numbers begin with E9L39. A product update kit, which includes a revised user guide, belt-routing label to be applied over the existing label located on the fabric cover, a longer LATCH connector strap, and adhesive slip-resistant strips, will be mailed to registered owners. Product update kits will begin shipping to owners on or before July 10, 2007. Until the kit is received, owners of the seat should follow directions on the Britax web site to reinstall their seats based on the new installation instructions.

The class will be held at the San Martine campus of St. Rose Dominican Hospital, 8280 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas. Times are generally 8a-5:30p with a car seat checkup event on the final day at the end of class.
