Tech Class Offered in March

Safe Kids Clark County is offering the National Standardized Child Passenger Safety Technician Training class in March. Class dates are March 2-5.
Wednesday, March 2: 8a-5p
Thursday, March 3: 8a-5p
Friday, March 4: 8a-5p
Saturday, March 5: 9:30a-1p checkpoint
Please plan to be flexible with your time during class days since subject material often can't be interrupted. To register, go to the Safe Kids Worldwide web site at http://cert.safekids.org and click on the “Find a Course” link on the right side of the page.
There will be no charge for the course. The address will be our new office at 3061 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 102, Las Vegas, NV 89109.

CPS Techs: Please join us for Britax training! Sarah Tilton from Britax and Vera Fullaway from Combi will conduct a child passenger safety product and technology training.
Date: Friday, October 8
Time: 9a-3:30p
Fee: $20, includes lunch. Please pay via PayPal.
Registration: Required as space is limited. Fill out form and fax to Jeanne Cosgrove. Details on form.
The agenda gives more detailed information about what will be covered during the day. No doubt it will be a great day to come and learn not just about Britax and Combi carseats, but about other child passenger safety issues as well. We hope to see you there!
Save the Date--6 CEUs Offered

On October 8, 2010, Safe Kids Clark County is offering a 6 hour CEU class featuring two carseat manufacturing representatives: Sarah Tilton from Britax USA and Vera Fullaway from Combi USA.

8-Hour School Bus Training Course Offered in Reno

The NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Restraint Systems on School Buses National Training course is being offered in Reno as part of the STN Expo on July 24-25, 2010. It offers 6 CEU credits for technicians.
It's also being taught at the KIM Conference in Ft. Worth, TX, on August 25, 2010, for 6 CEUs. As a bonus of the KIM training, participants will receive the Safe Ride News School Bus Safety Handbook.
